Complete a communication/PR internship
During my time at Clemson, I hope to complete an internship that gives me hands-on experience in the communication field. I am especially interested in public relations, strategic communication, and crisis communication, but I am still exploring where my interests will take me.
Create a PR or social media campaign
I would love to add a complete PR or social media campaign to my portfolio. I already have experience creating content and managing social media, but I want to learn more about the strategy behind communicating with a specific audience. Creating a campaign would allow me to strengthen my writing and creative skills while showing how I can take an idea from planning to execution.
Take on a leadership role at Clemson
Leadership has been an important part of my experiences so far, and I hope to continue developing those skills at Clemson. I would love to eventually hold a leadership position in PRSSA or within my sorority, possibly in a marketing, communications, or social media role. This would allow me to combine my interest in communication with leadership while gaining experience that directly connects to my future career goals.
Final Reflection
By the time I graduate from Clemson, I hope I can look back at this portfolio and see how much I have changed since creating it as a freshman. Right now, I am still figuring out exactly where I fit within the communication field, and I am excited to see where the next four years take me. I hope this portfolio becomes filled with experiences I never expected, projects I am proud of, internships that helped shape my interests, and memories from the organizations and people I meet along the way. Most of all, I want it to feel like a reflection of me and the person and communicator I have grown into.
